First of all: there’s a lot of funny stuff in this page!, I loved wordmaster (maybe because it seems difficult at the beginning, but later I defeat it). Some of the activities are made for people with a superior level of English expertise, those were impossible for me to display successfully. But there were others that I could play correctly. “Beat the keeper” it’s interesting, but when you play it twice, the questions begin to repeat and that wasn’t very nice.
By the other hand, the activities of pronunciation were useful to me because I watch a lot of movies and series without subtitles (my English writing is not very good as you can see, but my hearing is not that bad). British pronunciation is sometimes so hard to understand that beating this obstacle is a great achievement for understanding regular Hollywood’s movies, for examples (although I know there is another dialects more difficult to be heard than British English).
In conclusion, the page is a nice tool to practice and watch the development of my English skills.
i've love Wordmaster too! it was hard at first but we get faster and better after a few rounds playing it!

I also played in the "Beat the keeper" and it was nice only for one time, the other play (Wordmaster) i didn`t find it, it sounds fun. Where can i find it?

ReplyDeleteYou are right about the pronunciation. I watch series and movies, and when a British character appear, it is more difficult to understand. This page is a good way to practice the listened part.
